Be the one to make a difference by becoming a volunteer at Hope Seeds! 

Hope Seeds relies on thousands of working hours from volunteers who our passionate about the mission of HSI, to carry out the mission. Volunteers contribute in many ways and are the most important members of our ministry team. Volunteers play a vital role in packaging seeds; the assembly of Hope Garden Family Packs with the gospel message; school, church, and community events; office work; mailings; fundraising; working in Hope Gardens, etc...We are exceedingly grateful for our volunteers!

Current Volunteer Needs

We are in need of volunteers with the following skills. Hours and time commitments are very flexible. We do our best to work with volunteers to give opportunities, especially those who have retired, to use God given gifts and talents to serve the poor and provide the good news of Christ through the ministry of HSI.

  • Social media skills and writing skills for producing newsletters and posts.

  • Marketing and fund raising skills.

  • Grant writing skills

  • Ambassadors for the ambassador program. 

  • General office aid (if you have office skills or just want to be available to help, come and reveal your talents and we will find an area of service for you). 

  • Volunteer coordination. 

  • Garden volunteers to maintain Hope Gardens

Staff Position Opening

 Operations Assistant

Operations Assistant: The Operations Assistant is currently a part-time position with the potential to evolve into full-time. As a part-time position, hours and tasks are flexible, however, since this position has the potential to grow, some consistency is necessary. Responsibilities consists of the following tasks, depending on ones skill and comfort level. In general, we are looking for a well rounded person that is welling to learn and assist in various operations of Hope Seeds.

Possible Tasks:

 

  • ​Public relations and fund raising

  • Promotional materials/marketing ideas

  • Social media and publication of quarterly newsletters

  • Assist in coordinating volunteers

  • Assist in event coordination 

  • Assists with seed orders

  • Other tasks may be assigned by the CEO

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

  • High school/ college diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to adjust one’s own time based on actions or needed assignments.

  • A strong Christian commitment and desire to advance Christian missions.

  • Nonprofit experience is a big plus.

 

Competencies:

 

  • Integrity – requires one to be honest, protect the identity of donors and the database of HSI.

  • Attention to details – requires accuracy and attention to details.

  • Corporation – requires cooperation with a good attitude, being kind to others, patient, and a flexibility.
