“The need for the seeds was much greater then I expected.” |
 |
“We learned that there are great needs to provide seeds as a way of meeting human needs. The cost of seeds in Guatemala is extremely high and many of the farmers we worked with could not afford to purchase them. As part of the 3 year plan for this education process the need to educate the people on how to collect and store seeds is vital for the project to be successful.”
“One of the people who we work with in setting up our teams was so impressed by the program and the seeds that she rented a piece of land in order for the church to have a learning farm to work with and continue teaching the skills they learned this year. This act of generosity will allow the church to reach out into the community and offer farming lessons.” |

“Your program is much needed and helpful.” |
 |
“The seeds were very helpful in assisting us to provide food for the children in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, West Africa.”
“The unexpected success was how well the seeds grew in our shade houses.”
The shade houses enable them to grow food for 11 months of the year rather than the 3 months during the rainy season.
The shade houses feed 400 children twice a day. The program receives many malnourished children and teaches them Bible stories and songs. “Only when their bellies are full can you tell them about Jesus.” |

“CCH's vision is to share Christ while improving the quality of life of the people of Haiti. The Hope Seed distribution was among the best ways to share Christ.” |

|
“At each seed distribution, the responsible agronomists shared their faith by either reading the Hope Seeds booklet (The Message of Hope) or sharing their own testimony. Participants were given the Hope Seeds booklet for their own use and to share with others.”
“Many recipients were so overjoyed by the seed kits that they praised the Lord immediately through song or clapping! They knew He had not forgotten them and neither did their Christian brothers and sisters at Hope Seeds.”
“In the community of La Victoire, people were skeptical of planting pak choi or bok choy. Agronomist Rubinste asked MacKenzie to do an experimental garden to demonstrate to the beneficiaries how pak choi has a short growth cycle. As a result, the community members saw the benefits of trying new types of vegetables and began asking for pak choi. They named the pak choi plant “Saver Kata.” By January, people were selling pak choi in the market of La Victoire and asking where to get more seeds.”
“There have been many stories of recipients successfully planting their gardens and harvesting them. In Bahon, Marie is pregnant with her 5 th child and she had no way of providing for another mouth to feed. As a result of Hope Seed Kit (Family Nutrition Packet), she established her own garden. Last month, she harvested enough vegetables to sell some at the local market and has enough money to take care of her infant when he or she arrives.” |

“The people are knowledgeable with seeds – they just have no money to purchase them.” |
 |
“Our best opportunity to share the Gospel message was that we were able to return and see the results of the seeds that had been planted and to rejoice in praise to God for Hope Seeds supplying the seeds, our opportunity to bring them to Haiti, and the people having faith in planting the seeds. Cooperation, compassion, and caring between your group, our group and the Haitian people all in the name of God.” |

“I think that the seed handout has changed how some people in town view our church and ministry as a whole.” |
 |
“The Message of Hope helped in bringing the gospel message to people who would not normally go to a church service. Everyone in our town plants, but not everyone hears the gospel.”
“Our organization believes that all blessings should be done through the church and there were many people there who would have not shown up in the church for any other reason than these seeds.” |

“I also now realize just how valueable seeds are in Haiti and also the ongoing need to “model” good techniques.” |

“Five hundred students attend school and they are exposed on a daily bases to the beauty and benefit of the garden that was born out of brush, debris and Hope Seeds.” |

“The seed program was the highlight of our trip.” |
 |
“One woman had a tilled yard but had planted nothing. She was waiting to garner enough money to buy seeds. When we handed her a Hope Seeds Family pack, she clasped it to her chest and teared up. She blessed us over and over.” |

“The recipient communities know that the seeds came from Hope Seeds, a Christian organization. That conveys to them that through Christ the orgazniation does not only care about their faith but about their materials needs as well” |

“A farmer named Willy Aleus in the locality of Lavaltiere has farmed an area equivalent to half of an acre with part of it in beets, carrots, and the remaining, in cabbages. He has spent the majority of his time caring for the vegetable garden. Now with the end of the season approaching, he proudly stated that he is expecting, after his household consumption, to earn between HTG 65,000 to 70,000 which is roughly USD $1,800 from his garden.” |

“The people in the mountains are hard workers who depend on large gardens. Hope Seeds can be a real blessing to them.” |
 |
“After we gave the seeds away to the families of children who attend our school, we hiked around until we found more people that we didn't know. We were able to share use the Hope Seeds tracts to share the Gospel with them.” |
