Progress Reports - Every year schoolchildren are sent home with a progress report in the first weeks of the school year so that parents might know how their student is progressing. This report helps both the student and parent evaluate study habits and even classroom behavior. The purpose the teacher has in mind is to help the student learn and grow to his/her full potential. Progress reports are a good thing.
We love to receive "Progress Reports" from our seed recipients. They tell us in word and photo what is being done with the seed we have sent to them, and you will see via these few photos that distribution and planting of those seeds has taken place. As we read the reports we learn more about what is needed and what each ministry is planning. In this way we are allowed a glimpse of their plans and how we might help in the future. We hope you view this in the same way... your help as a donor allows us to keep sending seeds of hope and encouragement. Thank you!
Grace, Joy and Peace.

On June 18, 2009 Palmer Muench passed from this world to everlasting life with our Lord Jesus. Palmer was a great and true friend to many people, and we know of his great love of Christ as he tirelessly worked to share that love with those he was given the chance to meet and work with. Palmer was a board member for Hope Seeds over the past 5 years and also a dedicated volunteer for the past 10 years, scooping seed into packets every week, sharing the story of this ministry as he gave presentations, and even taking a mission trip to Haiti to help share the "seed message" of Christ in that hungry land. Many of his friends and family have given memorial gifts to Hope Seeds in his honor, and it is with the same enthusiasm for sharing Christ which Palmer exemplified, a Teaching Garden will be dedicated in his memory in the Artibonnite region of Haiti this coming year. A Teaching Garden is a place within the confines of a Christian church or school where children and families are taught the basic methods of gardening while also hearing of the Biblical narratives of Jesus and His Grace. To all of you who have honored the memory of Palmer with your gifts we share this common theme which Palmer so many times presented - Plant A Seed! Feed A Soul!

This summer, Hope Seeds supported a garden ministry at Cornerstone Fellowship of Forest City, NC. “Feed the 5000 Ministry” raised vegetables on a couple acres and church members volunteered many garden hours to provide vegetables for the Rutherford County; the 13 th most financially depressed county in the nation. “We had the privilege of providing for about 20 families each week.” stated by the ministry leader, Paula Rogalski. The labor of love (shown below) from all ages of the church members and the appreciation from the recipients is beautiful testimony to sharing Christ's love in Word and Action. Fall crops are planted and please pray for this hunger fund to flourish. |
